Choquequirao Trek

Choquequirao, or "Cradle of Gold" in Qechua, is known as a dazzling mysterious Inca city located amidst the beautiful scenery of the Cordillera Vilcanota in the Apurimac River Canyon. This place remained covered by thick forest for many years. Walking to Choquequirao offers a wonderful hike through several ecosystems. We will enjoy beautiful views of snowcapped mountains of the Cordillera Vilcabamba and the deep canyon of the Apurimac River. Finally we will rise through the lush vegetation to arrive at the citadel of Choquequirao.
