We made it home safely, thank you for asking. And Lima was great, a little rainy, but that didnt stop us. As for our pictures... Together we took about 1,500. So right now we are just trying to sort out the best and put captions on them before sending them out. But as soon as they are ready we would love to share them! Choquequirao, or "Cradle of Gold" in Qechua, is known as a dazzling mysterious Inca city located amidst the beautiful scenery of the Cordillera Vilcanota in the Apurimac River Canyon. This place remained covered by thick forest for many years. Walking to Choquequirao offers a wonderful hike through several ecosystems. We will enjoy beautiful views of snowcapped mountains of the Cordillera Vilcabamba and the deep canyon of the Apurimac River. Finally we will rise through the lush vegetation to arrive at the citadel of Choquequirao.
