Your day starts early with a 7:00 a.m. pickup from your hotel in Cusco, heading north into the Andes. As the city fades behind you, the landscapes open up into wide valleys and towering mountains — with the breathtaking snow-capped peaks of Verónica and Chicón welcoming you to the adventure.
Arriving at the base camp in Cruz Pata, it’s time to switch gears. After a quick safety briefing and a short practice ride, you’ll hop on your ATV and feel the excitement build. Then the real fun begins — a 40-minute off-road ride through dirt tracks, open fields, and stunning Andean scenery.
Your first destination is the incredible Moray. These circular, sunken terraces are one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in Peru. Once used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory, each level creates its own microclimate — a true masterpiece of ancient engineering. You’ll have time to explore, walk around, and take in the uniqueness of this place.
Back on your ATV, the ride continues to a scenic viewpoint where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of five majestic snow-capped peaks — a perfect moment to pause and capture the beauty of the Andes. Afterward, you’ll ride back to base, where your transport will be waiting.
From here, you’ll continue by vehicle to your final highlight: the breathtaking Maras Salt Mines. Built into the mountainside, these thousands of shimmering salt pools have been used since Inca times and are still harvested today using traditional methods. It’s a truly unique landscape — and the perfect place to take photos and even pick up some of the famous Andean pink salt.
After a day full of adrenaline, culture, and unforgettable views, you’ll return to Cusco around 2:00 p.m. — with the rest of the afternoon free to relax, recharge, and relive an experience you won’t forget.
